The East Atlantic Flyway: the journey from West Africa through Western Europe to the Arctic, connects some of the most productive ecosystems in the hemisphere, including forests, coastlines, estuaries, and wetlands. Stretching across multiple countries and climates, it supports a rich diversity of wildlife alongside different human communities and cultural traditions.

While the flyway is defined by the movement of migratory birds, this publication focuses on the communities and landscapes that exist beneath it. Through archived photographs and written research, this book documents six locations along the route, exploring how migration intersects with place and everyday life.
